As a CIBC Closing Specialist, you will provide invaluable support and customer service to the mortgage sales force; contribute towards identifying additional client needs (Cross sell opportunities). Your current mortgage knowledge will allow you to close deals effectively as you will liaise with mortgage specialists and advisors, clients, solicitors, underwriters, advancers and follow up on documentation to ensure seamless closings.

You can effectively perform all work activities remotely, and will only be required to be on-site on an occasional basis. You are flexible to work shifts between Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Closing Solutions specialist is like an assistant to Mortgage Advisor and all sales partners hence it is imperative to continuously develop rapport, build relationship and trust with these clients.

  • Meet department and individual funding targets by contacting clients, lawyers, Business partners, and effectively close deals.

  • Meet department objectives by delivering the best client experience on each and every Mortgage file.

  • Answer inquiries from clients related to funding of their mortgage, remotely fulfill the funding requirements, maintain strong follow up with clients, business partners and handle scenarios, questions, and issues in accordance with department objectives.

  • Regularly update knowledge of new products, policies, procedures and competition in order to meet client’s needs.

  • Provide back up for other Closing Solutions agents when they are absent and support all their mortgage files in pipeline.

Who you are

  • Must have extensive experience in the delivery and management of CIBC Mortgage products.

  • Strong Underwriting knowledge

  • Strong Negotiating skills

  • Ability to manage multiple calls and issues concurrently.

  • Must be comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Must have exceptional interpersonal & communication skills sufficient to deal with sensitive and conflict-filled situations.

  • Strong understanding of CIBC computer applications, including COINS/CLASS, Aurora, Plexus, Service Commitment and working knowledge of software packages commonly used at CIBC, i.e. Windows and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
