Job description

CASA Mental Health as the Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist, where you will play a key role in quality assurance and improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

Job Details
Salary range: $68,640 - $101,920
Shift structure: Monday to Friday
Primary location: CASA Downtown          
Union: Out-of-scope
FTE: 1.0
Status: Permanent

About the Role:
The Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist will:
  • Support the organization’s accreditation cycle and ensure ongoing readiness for accreditation surveys.
  • Coordinate activities as required to achieve and maintain accreditation status (e.g., preparatory audits, mock surveys, etc.).
  • Collaborate with leaders and staff in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to meet accreditation standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accreditation compliance reports and documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments or changes to accreditation standards including required organizational practices and tests for compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence and Evaluation team to lead the accreditation process and implement quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of a quality improvement and assurance strategy for the organization.
  • Facilitate quality improvement-related education to staff.
  • Promote awareness of accreditation and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with leaders and staff to collect data and analyze and prepare quality and audit reports.
  • Support change management initiatives throughout the organization.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, health, quality improvement or a related field.
  • A master’s degree in a health-related field (e.g. public health, social sciences, health sciences) is an asset.
  • Significant related experience and training may be considered on a one-for-one basis in lieu of education.
  • Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) training and certification is an asset.
  • Experience implementing and managing organizational change and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the health care accreditation process.

  • This role offers a hybrid arrangement between work-from-home and CASA’s downtown office. Travel to other CASA sites is required.
