Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for Clinical Business Analyst(s) with Medication Management experience to work closely with other team members, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards to be adopted province-wide. This role serves as a subject matter expert on the impact that CISs and the digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of content, workflows, and procedures.


Responsibilities:

• Supporting the standardization of medication management practices and related workflows used throughout the health care system.

• Acting as a subject matter expert on the impact that the CIS and digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of medication management processes, workflows, and procedures.

• Facilitating engagement sessions to document current state and engage feedback on future state processes.

• Working closely with other team members, Subject Matter Experts, and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards to be adopted province-wide.

• Gathering and defining business and system requirements, conducting gap analysis, and completing current state and future design workflows.

• Supporting seamless adoption of medication management standards.

• Collaborating closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.

• Detailed review of existing business requirements.

• Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of clinical standards.

• Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirements, including gap analysis.

• Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards.

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of business and client requirements to support the development, operations, and deployment of the clinical standardization project; recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• University Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience in the Pharmacy domain. (Ex. has experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist, or equivalent education/designation based on province/state)

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation obtained in the last 10 years.

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience working with a health information systems or CIS, and pharmacy healthcare operations.

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst or equivalent in large scale transformative healthcare project with direct experience focused on Pharmacy Information Systems and/or Medication Management.

Scored Requirements:

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with multiple health organizations / entities in the development of standards/requirements to be used in the implementation in clinical information systems.

• 1+ years of demonstrated Additional experience in any of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), clinical documentation, order sets, ancillary services (Medical Imaging, Laboratory, Health Records, Patient Registration, Patient Scheduling).

• 3+ years of demonstrated Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, and system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases. Additional points for experience in Healthcare CIS development and implementations.

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability to multi-task, and work with multiple teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time.

• 5+ years of demonstrated Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.

• 1+ years of demonstrated Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA software in a work environment.

• Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in French and English are strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.
