This role requires a balance of business process expertise, technical understanding, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Implementation

  • Guide teams through go-live preparations, addressing privacy, security, and gap analysis to meet all requirements for successful deployments.

Current and Future State Analysis

  • Conduct detailed current and future state analysis to identify areas for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Develop and document workflows, business processes, and technical specifications to guide implementation efforts.

Privacy and Security Compliance

  • Conduct privacy and security assessments to ensure compliance with provincial and organizational policies.
  • Identify gaps in privacy and security frameworks and recommend solutions to address risks and ensure data integrity.

Business Process Remodelling

  • Redesign and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and align with the goals of the Clinical Registries Project.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define clear requirements and design solutions that address organizational needs.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals, technical staff, and data analytics teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to gather input and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain project artifacts, including gap analyses, privacy assessments, workflows, and implementation plans.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrated ability to lead project implementations.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience, ideally involving clinical systems, healthcare data, or digital health initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience in business process remodelling, with a focus on optimizing workflows and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Proven experience conducting privacy, security, and gap analyses in healthcare or similar regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of current and future state analysis methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, such as FHIR.
  • Experience with healthcare data, digital health solutions, or clinical registries.
  • Knowledge of provincial healthcare systems and policies, particularly in British Columbia.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex implementations.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with experience engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and a focus on results.
  • Collaborative approach to working across multi-disciplinary teams.

Work Environment

  • This role is remote, with occasional on-site requirements in the Lower Mainland, BC, for go-lives (end of January and end of March).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse stakeholders and meet tight project deadlines are essential.
