Job description

At Shaping Lives, our mission is clear: to shape the next generation of early years educators, empowering them with the skills, confidence, and passion to inspire young minds. Our apprenticeships go beyond qualifications—they help educators grow in their careers while making a lasting impact in nurseries across the country.

We are dedicated to making learning engaging, accessible, and transformative, equipping educators with the tools they need to reach their full potential, make a positive impact, and inspire others in turn.

Position:

Location: Remote-based with learner observations in London

Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Our mission is driven by five core values: Purpose, Positioning, Values, Personality, and Proposition. We are proud to say that 91% of our apprentices report satisfaction with their learning experience and the professional growth they’ve achieved with us. If you have experience in delivering innovative, impactful, and engaging remote sessions, combined with a strong background in the Early Years Sector at a senior or managerial level, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Personal Tutor, you will support a dedicated caseload of learners, delivering outstanding teaching that enhances their experience within our recently introduced Elevate Programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and Motivate: Engage, motivate, and inspire learners to achieve their work-based qualifications, driving them to reach their full potential.
  • Stretch and Challenge: Provide personalized, insightful feedback that stretches and challenges learners, enabling their continuous professional development.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Nurture and maintain strong relationships with both learners and employer partners, ensuring a collaborative approach to learning.
  • Support Learner Progress: Use our advanced LMS system (BUD) to monitor learner progress and ensure all learners receive the appropriate support, including functional skills or additional learning assistance as needed.
  • Elevate Programme Advocacy: Champion the use of Elevate Workshops, ensuring that learners are engaged and empowered.
  • Data and Compliance: Adhere to GDPR regulations and our internal data security policies to protect learner information.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and experience:

Assessor Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, D32, A1, V1)

Teaching Qualification: AET, PTTLS, CET, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent

Qualifications in Early Years/Childcare: Level 5 or above

Occupational Competency: Extensive experience at a senior level within the Early Years sector
