Job title: D365 Business Central Senior Developer

Location: Remote (Travel to BCN offices/Project sites as required)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Focus of the role:

We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Senior Developer to join our development team, ensuring delivery of quality software solutions to BCN customers. As a Senior Developer you will be part of our development team extending the Business Central platforms and enhancing Dynamics NAV. Your role is to actively participate in the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software solutions to meet customer and commercial needs, while adhering to established standards, best practises, and deadlines. Working closely with Solution Specialists, Fulfilment Managers, and project teams, you will support both full project lifecycles in addition to ongoing customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Excellent knowledge of Business Central architecture and functionality on both Saas and OnPrem versions.

• Excellent knowledge of older versions of NAV, NAV 2009 (v6.0) onwards.

• Excellent knowledge of C/AL and AL development languages, both OnPrem and SaaS.

• Excellent knowledge of Visual Studio Code work environment.

• Good Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell.

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Report Builder.

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) preferred.

• Experience in managing source control via Git for DevOps.

• Ensure full understanding of project requirements, deadlines, and priorities via liaison with project team members and use of project schedules.

• Build, test, deliver and document a solution, whilst always ensuring the integrity of a customer’s platform remains the highest priority.

• Keep up to date with latest design methodologies, coding patterns and best practices with particular focus on enabling our product lines to be UCI and SaaS compliant.

• Produce software source code to specifications, adhering to coding standards.

• A technology advocate with strong Microsoft landscape awareness, coordinating the delivery of solutions that support BCNs ‘Microsoft First/Cloud First’ philosophy.

• Share knowledge and contribute to delivery best practises.

• Be budget conscious and assist the fulfilment teams with the necessary controls for successful delivery.

• Upgrade and Install NAV/Business Central.

• Occasionally visit customer sites, providing support and training where necessary.

• Point of escalation for Support.
