What We Are Looking For

• Seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead a high-performing team of 5-7 sales professionals on the West Coast USA.
• Focus on coaching and guiding the team in deal pursuits and developing effective sales strategies in the AI and contact center solutions space.
• Ideal candidates should have a deep understanding of advanced digital technologies (e.g., conversational AI, IVA, knowledge management) and experience in the contact center as a service space (CCaaS).
• Proven track record in sales leadership and a passion for driving growth in the customer experience (CX) market.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coaching:
• Lead and mentor a dedicated sales team.
• Provide coaching on deal pursuits, negotiation tactics, and effective sales strategies.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Sales Strategy Development:
• Collaborate with the team to create and implement targeted sales strategies.
• Analyze and adapt strategies based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape.
• Deal Pursuit Management:
• Provide guidance on complex deal pursuits.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among team members.
• Performance Monitoring:
• Establish clear sales targets and KPIs.
• Track progress and provide actionable feedback to drive performance.
• Utilize data analytics to assess deal pipelines and inform strategic decisions.
• Collaboration & Relationship Building:
• Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
• Reporting & Forecasting:
• Prepare and present regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
• Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in the AI or contact center industry.
• Proven track record of coaching teams to develop successful sales strategies.
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in CRM tools and sales performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
