Job description

We are seeking a proactive and professional IT Manager to oversee and optimize our technology infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Google Workspace, ensuring cybersecurity, supporting the Labster’s technology needs, and driving efficiency in our IT operations providing the best IT support to our team members globally. You will also be responsible for managing a small IT support team.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Labster’s hardware and software, ensuring proper setup, maintenance, and performance.

  • Implement and monitor device management policies for laptops, VR Headset and other equipment.

  • Maintain software licenses and subscriptions, ensuring compliance and cost

  • Manage and maintain Google Workspace as our main user identity provider, ensuring smooth operations and proper user access controls.

  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, including access controls, password management, and threat response plans.

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, resolving tickets efficiently.

  • Provide onboarding and offboarding support, including provisioning/deprovisioning accounts and hardware setup.

  • Train employees on best practices for using technology and staying secure online.

  • Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.

  • Lead or assist with technology implementations, migrations, and upgrades.

  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with business goals.


Competencies & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of IT management or system administration experience, preferably in a SaaS or experience working in a scaling company, meaning, you understand that dynamic needs and tight deadlines may overrule process now and then

  • Experience in Google Workspace administration, including security and compliance features.

  • Familiarity with other SaaS tools such as Slack, Atlassian products,O365, Azure, AWS

  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices and tools (e.g., endpoint protection), SOC2 experience is a plus

  • Ability to determine IT needs and provide assistance accordingly, without direction

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Line management experience would be advantageous

  • English speaking and writing fluency.
