Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Client Timezone: New York, USA
Schedule:

- 40 hours a week
- Monday - Friday, 9AM - 6PM EST with 1 hour unpaid break

Seeks is a highly motivated Accounting Specialist who values accuracy and timeliness. In
this position, your responsibilities will include processing of invoices, ensuring accurate coding,
and obtaining necessary approvals. You will cultivate and enhance internal and external
partnerships to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices. Additionally, this role will
involve weekly coding of credit card and bank activity as well as handling employee expenses
reimbursement.This is a great opportunity to work at a rapidly growing start-up alongside some
of the brightest minds and experienced leaders in the Fintech and blockchain space.

Responsibilities:

● Daily review and processing of credit card transactions in BREX
● Review of credit card charges for appropriate documentation and accurate coding
● Communicate with internal teams involved and obtain approvals and receipts as
needed
● Assist with coding bank account activity
● Review expense reports submitted by employees ensuring they follow policy
guidelines and have proper coding and approvals


What We Look For

● Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
● Understanding of basic accounting and journal entry processes
● Proficiency in Excel
● Experience with BREX/Sage Intacct/Expensify a plus
● Keen sense for process improvement to streamline operations
● Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal
daily direction and tight deadlines
● Superb time management skills and detail-oriented
● A flexible approach and ability to prioritize tasks with ambiguity in a startup
environment
