Job description

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage a content calendar for multiple social media platforms, focusing on Instagram

  • Design visually appealing posts using Canva and other graphic design tools

  • Write engaging captions and create hashtag strategies to increase reach and engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages, fostering community engagement

  • Track and analyze social media metrics, providing regular reports on performance

  • Collaborate with the studio owner to promote classes, workshops, retreats, and teacher training programs

  • Update the studio’s website with new content and event information (no coding required)

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media marketing strategies

  • Conduct weekly check-ins with the studio owner for strategy alignment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the wellness or fitness industry

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools, especially Canva

  • Strong writing and communication skills in English

  • Understanding of social media best practices and current trends

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools

  • Basic knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., Squarespace)

  • Passion for yoga and wellness (personal practice is a plus)

Scope:

  • Manage social media accounts and potentially the owner’s personal brand

  • Work 20 hours per week anywhere between 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern time

  • Collaborate closely with the studio owner on content approval and strategy

  • Potential to expand role to include basic administrative tasks as needed

  • Flexibility to adjust role based on the studio’s evolving needs
