Job description

Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Business Support Specialist to assist the Supply Chain department in supporting the design and implementation of future-state integrated asset management business processes as part of the Asset Management Information Project (AMIP). This initiative focuses on aligning and automating processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and Asset and Work Management to enhance efficiency, improve asset reliability, and adopt best practices.


Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination & Support:

o Provide logistical support for design discussions, workshops, and sessions.

o Assist with documenting business requirements and compiling input from stakeholders.

o Coordinate review of project deliverables, ensuring timely feedback from the business team.

o Maintain project documentation and track progress to ensure alignment with timelines.

• Implementation Support:

o Assist in validating system builds by coordinating reviews and compiling feedback.

o Support detailed design sessions by preparing materials and documenting outcomes.

o Help identify test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by tracking issues and results.

• Data Cleansing & Quality Assurance:

o Work closely with the team to support the review and validation of key data sets.

o Ensure that data related to purchase orders, and item masters is accurate, up-to-date, and meets project standards.

o Identify inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to correct data issues before migration.

• Change Management & Training:

o Assist with assessing organizational change impacts and support the development of communication materials.

o Attend Train-the-Trainer sessions and help prepare training materials for end users.

o Coordinate training sessions and provide hands-on support during training delivery.

• Collaboration & Communication:

o Act as a liaison between the Supply Chain team and project stakeholders.

o Facilitate effective communication by ensuring key updates and information are shared promptly.

o Help resolve coordination challenges by supporting collaboration across teams.

• Operational Support:

o Support Supply Chain Managers in daily operations as required.

Qualifications:

• Organizational Skills:

o Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, track deadlines, and organize project materials effectively.

• Attention to Detail:

o Ability to maintain accuracy when documenting processes, reviewing deliverables, and supporting testing activities.

o A strong focus on data accuracy and quality in activities like data cleansing and migration.

• Communication & Teamwork:

o Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration.

o A team player who can work well with diverse groups and foster a positive working environment.

• Adaptability & Initiative:

o Comfortable working in a dynamic project environment with evolving priorities.

o Proactive in identifying ways to support the team and improve processes.

• Technical Skills:

o A basic understanding of business processes in finance, procurement, or supply chain is an asset.

o Familiarity with data management, including cleansing and validation, is a strong advantage.

Pay rate: $55 - $60 per hour.
