Location: Fully Remote (Candidates must be based in the Philippines)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Contractor
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time

One of our clients, a leading construction company, is seeking a Construction Procurement Specialist to streamline their bidding process for materials, installations, and other construction needs. This role is critical to ensuring project success by securing the best vendors and suppliers while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance.

Job Overview:
The Construction Procurement Specialist will manage the bidding process for construction materials and services, interpret AutoCAD drawings, and aggregate bids into Excel or Google Sheets. The specialist will provide organized, clear data and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring informed decisions and smooth procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the client to gather and understand construction bidding requirements for materials, installations, and services.
  2. Source bids from vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  3. Use AutoCAD to interpret plans and specifications as needed for accurate bid generation.
  4. Aggregate and organize bid data in Excel or Google Sheets for clear presentation and comparison.
  5. Analyze and evaluate bids for accuracy, compliance, and value to the client.
  6. Create professional reports and presentations summarizing bid evaluations for stakeholders.
  7. Maintain records of all procurement activities, including bids, vendor communications, and contract details.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to ensure competitive procurement practices.
  9. Communicate confidently and professionally over the phone using a softphone, including speaking with vendors and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in construction procurement, bidding, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to review and interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, installations, and industry terminology.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data organization and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple bids and stakeholders.
  • Confident and comfortable speaking over the phone and using softphone technology to communicate with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Experience creating clear and actionable reports or presentations for decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with construction project management software.
  • Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Background in construction engineering, procurement, or related fields.
