Job Summary –

Looking for COBOL/SQL developer with good knowledge in insurance domain and Life admin tools.

Years of experience needed – around 8 years

Technical Skills

Must have experience on Life Admin Systems/ Life Insurance, Annuity products

 Min 8+ years of experience in development of policy administration system (COBOL)

 Min 8+ years of experience in development/maintenance and Support projects of Mainframe preferably Cobol & DB2.

 Min 6+ yrs of experience in SQL

 Must have good knowledge of Policy Administration System design and architecture

 Must have hand-on experience of Insurance Policy Admin system Migration/Conversion project

 Must be aware of new technologies and market updates with respect to Life and Annuity business

 Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and design the proposed IT solution.

 Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations and provide input to information/ data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.

 Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.

 Document High Level and Low Level technical specifications.

 Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills

 Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage

 Good knowledge in COBOL/DB2/VSAM

 To be able to conduct Meetings & Reviews , Reporting & Documentation

 Should be Very well versed with tools and techniques for efficient project management and reporting.
