What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an exceptional Internal Communications Specialist to craft and deliver impactful communications that engage and inform our global team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping our company culture and ensuring that our employees are aligned with our mission, values, and the exciting projects we’re working on.
As a crucial member of our Communications team, you’ll report directly to the Director of Internal Communications. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to plan, design, and execute clear, compelling internal communications programs.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Shape the Employee Experience: Design and deliver high-quality communications that enhance the employee experience and foster alignment with our mission, culture, and values.
- Own Major Communication Programs: Support the execution of our monthly company-wide global Town Hall meetings, ensuring the most important company updates are shared with clarity, precision, and engagement.
- Create Across Channels: Draft, edit, and produce engaging communications across multiple platforms, including email, Slack, video scripts, and more. Your writing will help foster connection and transparency across the company.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with leadership and other teams to develop clear, well-crafted communications materials, such as presentations, employee emails, FAQs, talking points, and scripts.
- Drive Engagement & Participation: Continuously propose creative ideas and innovative solutions to increase employee engagement and encourage active participation in key initiatives.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 2+ years of experience in internal communications or related fields, with a proven track record of producing high-quality written materials.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills: You have a sharp eye for detail, an ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively, and a strong command of grammar, style, and tone. You can adapt your writing to different audiences and communication channels seamlessly.
- A strong sense of responsibility and ownership: You take pride in your work, see projects through to completion, and take initiative in managing communications across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Comfort and confidence working with senior leaders: You know how to communicate with clarity and professionalism in a way that aligns with organizational goals, while also ensuring key messages resonate with employees.
- Integrity and trustworthiness: You understand the importance of handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion and maintaining high ethical standards in all communications.
- Curiosity and growth mindset: You are motivated to continuously hone your craft, welcome feedback, and seek out new ways to improve both your skills and your impact.
- Organizational prowess: You bring excellent project management and event planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver on time, without sacrificing quality.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
