Position:     High School Enrollment Coordinator
Reports to:  Manager, Sales High School Abroad and Gap Year Abroad 
Department: Global Navigator Programs, High School Summer Abroad 
Location:    
Remote but in the following states: Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Oregon, and Utah.

Who you are: 

Are you interested in playing a crucial role in shaping the global leaders of tomorrow? Are you passionate about experiential education and cultural exchange? The Enrollment Coordinator collaborates with a range of teams and individuals across CIEE to recruit students for CIEE’s exceptional high school study abroad programs. The Enrollment Coordinator proactively works closely with moving study abroad applicants and their families through every stage of application and predeparture including initial inquires, application processing, participant confirmation, pre-departure guidance, and empathetic, highly responsive customer support.
The Enrollment Coordinator will manage their application pipeline and strive towards a personal participant enrollment goal for their territory through timely, targeted outreach to participants and parents. You’ll contribute to program management and preparation projects to ensure successful programs for participants. The Enrollment Coordinator has an eye for detail to ensure participants are adequately prepared for travel, while grounding your work in the overarching goals and outcomes of studying abroad.
As the Enrollment Coordinator, customer service is your passion, and you approach your work with a sales mindset, knowing that every student who studies abroad is having a transformative experience.

 

What you’ll do


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Coach high school students and families through the application process and work with families to overcome barriers associated with studying abroad in high school.
  • Work with participants to understand their goals and advise them on the best program(s) to achieve their goals.


Additional responsibilities: 

  • Follow a structured sales process to proactively engage with interested leads and applicants via phone, text, and email outreach.
  • Champion communication with applicants and parents including the application process, program acceptance, pre-departure preparedness, and program updates.
  • Strive to reach personal/ team qualitative and quantitative target goals.
  • Use reports to manage your enrollment pipeline and meet enrollment goals by:
    • Completing 3 or more scheduled appointments daily with students and parents about their interest in CIEE programs.
    • Handle large outbound call logs between 20-70 or more calls a day depending on the territory’s pipeline. While managing a potentially large number of inbound calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication with participants, parents, teachers, and local CIEE staff in Salesforce (CRM software) and other internal databases.
  • Coordinate with CIEE Centers to provide applicant information, and to ensure timely generation of visa and other placement information.
  • Work with operations teams to plan participant travel, including coordination with travel agent and parents and participants.
  • Plan and implement online pre-departure orientations, including staffing, accommodation, activities, and communication.
  • Prepare and update pre-departure information, including readings and orientations.
  • Monitor program web page content (dates, deadlines, pricing) and produce timely updates of program information.
  • Conduct market research, as needed, and report to team. 
  • Represent CIEE at various fairs and to High Schools or Partner Organizations virtually and/or in person.
  • Domestic travel, as needed to support student recruitment and preparation. International travel-up to 1 time per year to chaperone student travel.
  • Responsible for providing Emergency Cell Phone support during 1-2 travel weekends per year.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
  • The ability to navigate challenging conversations.
  • International travel or study abroad experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work through a high daily call volume.
  • Additional language skills beyond English are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to understand and tailor your communication to different audiences is required.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Platforms and Outlook and willingness to learn new applications required.
  • Experience working with or willingness to learn new systems such as Sales force and Microsoft Teams are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate information across cultures with CIEE InternationalCenters via email, phone, and Teams on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate outside regular business hours, as needed.
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate call hours.
  • Eagerness to travel domestically and/or internationally is preferred; approximately 1-3 trips per year.

Location Requirements:

This position is remote, but we prefer someone living in a central time zone to accommodate this territory or in any of the states listed above.
