Job description

About Kojo

It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.

Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.

We’re growing our Quality Assurance Engineer team to help Kojo’s engineering teams build quality into every stage of the lifecycle process. This position will play a hands-on role in testing, test planning, automation, establishing best QA practices, bug tracking and reporting, and serve as the gatekeeper of quality for new products.

About the Role

This role will work cross-functionally with our product and engineering teams to establish best practices and have the opportunity to make a huge impression on the customer experience.

This role will include:

  • Developing and implementing manual and automated testing procedures for our software products, ensuring that bugs are identified and corrected before they get to the customer.

  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and pipelines to ensure efficient and scalable testing.

  • Creating and maintaining a suite of automated tests for functional, regression, and integration testing.

  • Collaborating with developers to identify opportunities for test automation and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Embracing a deep understanding of product specifications and customer requirements, and being the customer's voice in the room.

  • Participating in the triaging of customer bug reports and feature requests.

  • Nurturing respectful and influential working relationships with cross-functional team members to effectively prioritize and address issues.

  • Participating in all phases of product development, from design to deployment, ensuring our product meets quality standards.

About You

An empathetic, technical, and analytical candidate with a bias towards problem solving and quick action will thrive in this role. If you’re excited to utilize your full product lifecycle QA skills to make a big impact on our customer experience: apply below!

What you’ve accomplished:

  • Proven success in a similar QA role where you’ve demonstrated an in-depth understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and automated testing strategies.

  • Extensive experience with end-to-end automated testing tools such as Playwright and Maestro, and the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies as needed.

  • A strong understanding of CI/CD processes and integrating automated testing into continuous delivery pipelines.

  • Experience with detailed exploration of complex software systems, with a desire to dive deep into our product.

  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams in an agile, fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

  • Experience testing both web and mobile is a plus

What you care about:

  • Customer Obsession: You understand that what might be small things to us make a huge difference for them

  • Impact: You’re both fast-paced and detail-oriented and you prioritize rigorously

  • Accountability: You establish clear next steps and do what you say you’ll do

This is an entirely remote, full-time position for candidates who currently reside in Central or South America, currently prioritizing hires in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile. Commensurate with experience and location, the salary range for this position is between $35,000-$60,000 USD.
