Title: Manager, Technical Architect

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Technical Architect provides technical guidance on client engagements, including serving as a resource to the project team and the client by evaluating and proposing technical alternatives for resolving business and technology issues. 

  • Provides technical guidance on client engagements, including serving as a resource to the project team and the client by evaluating and proposing technical alternatives for resolving business and technology issues  
  • Acts as liaison to senior customer and internal stakeholder leadership, leads status updates and supports customer and internal escalations for assigned customers during Platform Upgrades. 
  • Provide technical support for upgrades and deploying product released hot fixes.  
  • Technical understanding of products, infrastructure, versions, and upgrade approach 
  • Owns upgrade go live strategy and Performs Upgrade deployments and Go lives. 
  • Design Upgrade Deployment and Environment cutover strategies. 
    Takes initiatives to continuously improve the overall upgrade processes for various versions and product combinations.  
  • Responsible for technical / liaison communication with the CSEs and Customer Success Managers and Customers for platform upgrade specific technical aspects.  
  • Identifies cross-capability and cross-release issues that affect the business architecture integrity.  
  • Defines the complete technical infrastructure environment  
  • Maintains current knowledge of all relevant technology developments and seek opportunities to deploy new technologies that benefit the client  
  • Designs and develops cost effective solutions that meet functional, technical, and performance requirements  
  • Performs Design / Code Reviews  

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

REQUIRED: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree required or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information and Technology, Software or Computer Engineering, or a related engineering/computer field  
  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in software development  
  • Or Master’s degree plus minimum of 6 years’ related professional experience  
  • Experience in customer facing roles  
  • Deep experience with a breadth of technologies, including C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2012/2016 administration and configuration, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:  

  • Ability to identify and understand technology trends within the industry  
  • Experience with .Net Solutions and SQL and relational database design  
  • Demonstrated experience with XML and XSL  
  • Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications  
  • Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software  
  • Experience with systems integration (Policy, Billing, claims, Reinsurance, third-party systems)  
  • Experience with implementation of Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing and/or ASW Claims preferred  
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing employee performance  

Other Requirements:

  • Travel: 10-25%
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
