We are looking for a Associate, Maintenance – Truck to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Associate, Maintenance - Truck, you will work from home in an inbound call center environment. You will use your experience to review requests from truck repair shops and approve or decline repairs based on the client’s policies.

Leverage truck technical expertise in responding to incoming calls from drivers and suppliers to resolve inquiries involving automotive repairs effectively, accurately, and efficiently. Use technical knowledge to effectively negotiate on our client’s behalf. Consistently display strong customer service skills lending to a superior customer experience.

A Day in the Life  

  • Apply diesel technical expertise (e.g.; repairs, preventative maintenance, labor and parts costs), while providing a superior customer experience, in responding to incoming calls from drivers and suppliers while resolving inquiries involving repairs and roadside events

  • Assist drivers in locating appropriate repair facilities

  • Use technical knowledge to effectively negotiate repairs on our client’s behalf

  • Effectively manage and adhere to AHT, quality, and other relevant department metrics

  • Triage and respond to inquiries coming from our Maintenance Platform portal, email, or other internal tools

  • Have direct contact with suppliers, drivers, and on occasion fleet client contact(s)

Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 3+ years of experience as a mechanic or service advisor (writer) specializing in diesel engines (heavy duty trucks/vehicles)

  • Active ASE Certification preferred (in lieu of ASE Certification Element will consider candidates who, as a condition of employment, agree to obtain ASE Certification within 12 months of employment

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Availability to work early evenings, 1 day per weekend, and holidays

  • Proven communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
     

The hiring base salary range for this position is $49,100 to $67,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
