We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Time & Attendance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.
As a Time & Attendance Administration Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing, exception reporting, and auditing of Time and Attendance data.
Your efforts will support our weekly payroll process. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with Payroll, Human Resources, and Operations, providing high-level support to team members and stakeholders. Meeting individual goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in adherence to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly payroll close audits, process payments, and analyze daily employee timecards to ensure correct pay rule application and interpretation in line with relevant industrial agreements.
- Set up new employees, update weekly conditions, manage terminations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data, checklists, and procedures.
- Review and update employee schedules daily, working closely with business approvers to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve pay queries raised by employees, assess potential adjustments, and refer to the team leader for approval.
- Action emails from stakeholders, support the training of front-line people leaders in Time and Attendance management, and contribute to the implementation of new or improved processes.
- Enter data from approved leave forms, generate reports, and ensure accurate data entry for the Time & Attendance system.
What You'll Bring
- 1+ years in Payroll Administration, Time & Attendance, or Finance Administration, with knowledge of Australian legislation highly regarded.
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Central / UKG Pro or equivalent Time & Attendance systems, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Proficiency in collecting, calculating, and entering data accurately for the Time & Attendance system.
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience working in a team environment.
- You’re a self-starter with a passion for analysing and interpreting data, resolving issues, and managing relationships with stakeholders.
