Summary:
The Program Manager, Diversity and Inclusion provides key support to position BSMH as a leader for diversity and inclusion. This role with serve as a key role with the Health Anchor Network (HAN) in creating and implementing workforce strategies that have a positive impact on social determinants of health. In this capability, the Program Manager is responsible for researching, recommending, and executing a best-in-class diversity, equity, inclusion, and management strategy.
The Program Manager will collaborate with other functional teams (Talent Acquisition, Internal Mobility, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning, Community Health, Government Relations, Compensation and Benefits) to ensure that strategies, tactics, and metrics are in place cross-functionally and at the market level to achieve goals around inclusive hiring, creating intentional pathways, advocacy and financial stability as part of the Healthcare Anchor Network priority. The role will report to the System Director of Diversity & Inclusion.
Essential Job Functoins
- Serve as main point of contact with the Health Anchor Network
- Create and implement strategies as part of the Health Anchor Network strategic plan
- Build programming to provide direct support for underrepresented candidates and associates to enter and grow in the ministry.
- Create D&I programs and activities in accordance with the mission, values, and vision.
- Ensure goals and strategies are met in accordance with the mission, values, and vision.
- Use data to establish metrics, track, monitor and support candidates and associates in retention and development programming.
- Design, manage and recommend innovative talent programs through school and organization partnerships to acquire key talent.
- Develops assessment strategies to determine effectiveness of programs to acquire diverse talent.
- Identify and recommend necessary resources and develops policies and practices to support programs.
- Provide consultation and guidance to organizational and functional leaders on ways to improve the inclusive culture and ensure equity for all stakeholders.
- Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
- Analyze program risks.
- Assist with other D&I projects and programs as needed
Qualifications
Education
- Requires a BA/BS in Organization Development, Management, HR Development or related field.
- Advanced degree or professional learning and development certification preferred.
Work Experience
- 5+ years of related experience, preferably working in HR, Diversity & Inclusion, or Community Health (Required)
- 1+ years of experience implementing company-wide programs (Preferred)
- Proven experience in program management, diversity and inclusion, and/or HR (preferred)
- Prior experience in a fully integrated health care system (preferred)
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a demanding corporate environment with access to highly confidential and proprietary information.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
