Your new team

As a part of our Project Economics and Optimisation Team, consisting of 4 engaged colleagues, but also in collaboration with the rest of the PtX department, you will be conceptualizing, framing, and developing new PtX and biogas projects.

The Team’s Primary Focus Is To

  • Build, optimize, and maintain the business case for PTX projects from a commercial and techno-economic perspective throughout the project development cycle until Final Investment Decision (FID).
  • Secure offtake contracts and critical supply chain agreements necessary for project execution and financing.
  • Lead or support projects throughout EE’s stage gate model from early project framing to the Investment Committee at FID.


How You Will Create An Impact

You will be leading the negotiation and execution of the offtake head of terms and subsequent offtake long-form agreements for our diverse PtX (methanol and hydrogen) and biogas (methane and certificates) product portfolio. You will also play an important part in securing key supply agreements, including CO2 sourcing, and in collaboration with our PPA team the power sourcing strategies.

You will be accountable for ensuring the commercial viability of PtX projects by managing both revenue-generating offtake contracts and critical supply chain agreements necessary for project execution and financing. This role is relatively broad scoped and requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the energy sector as well as project economics.

Key Duties & Responsibilities For The Role

  • Manage and develop leads for offtake and where relevant, act as lead negotiations for agreements on project and portfolio level.
  • Negotiate and execute the offtake Head of Terms and subsequent offtake long-form agreements for our diverse PtX and biogas product portfolio.
  • Coordinate key commercial activities within projects and provide commercial insights to the PtX Management Team.
  • Monitor regulatory landscape at the Danish and EU levels, ensuring compliance for the projects.
  • Assist in identifying and materializing new revenue streams (excess heat/O2, etc).In collaboration with the PPA team define the power sourcing strategy for PtX projects incl. PPA(s), GO’s and hedging opportunities.Secure agreements with balancing responsible parties for PtX projects.
  • Assist with keeping up to date easy to use PtX screening tools and evergreen economical models.
  • Liaise with project PtX teams and perform relevant modelling for business case scenarios (low-mid-high).


Job prerequisites

  • Relevant master's degree in commercial law, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience from a similar function.
  • Proficiency in English and Danish, orally and written is a must. Danish is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
