Mandarin Translator for Legal, Banking, and Marketing Projects

Job Overview

Elite Asia is actively seeking highly motivated and resourceful freelance linguists to become a valuable part of our dynamic translation team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing translation assignments that adhere to our clients’ specifications across various industries. We are currently on the lookout for skilled Mandarin/Chinese translators with familiarity in the Singapore and Malaysia dialects, who can engage in long-term collaboration and manage urgent projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete translation tasks that align with client requirements.
• Accept translation assignments from Monday to Friday, maintaining a minimum daily output of 1,200 words and a weekly capacity of 6,000 words or more.
• Ensure prompt responses to job inquiries and requests within one hour during office hours, Monday to Friday.
• Indicate availability for weekend or public holiday assignments as needed.
  
  

Required Skills

• High fluency in both English and Chinese (Singapore or Malaysia dialect).
• Proficient in post-editing machine-translated content to achieve human translation quality.
• Exceptional communication skills and responsiveness to inquiries.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in translation is preferred, though fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proven expertise in one or more of the following industries: Advertising, Government, Education, Gaming, Legal, Industrial and Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Medical, Retail and E-commerce, Technology, Travel and Hospitality.
