Job description

ELEMENTARY

TEACHER Prairie Land On - Line Academy Competition #PLSD-2066We are searching for a committed, enthusiastic individual who is comfortable with computers and use of the Internet to work with students enrolled with Prairie Land On-Line Academy.

Familiarity with a variety of online programs will be beneficial.

You will display a thorough knowledge of effective teaching strategies and excellent communication skills along with a dedicated approach to learning.

Preference will be given to an individual who demonstrates proficiency, education and experience in operating in an online learning environment.

Expertise with both PC and MAC computer platforms is desirable.

This is a part time (0.75 FTE) probationary teaching position to commence as soon as possible.

You will be responsible for real time, synchronous classes delivering English/Language Arts and Social/Science at the Grade 6 level, along with Social/Science curriculum at the Grade 3 level.

Additional responsibilities could include teaching asynchronous Physical Education classes for levels 10, 20 and 30 along with Junior High Options courses.

Preference will be given to an individual with a Physical Education background.
