Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Remote Backup Administrator. This position will be responsible for managing and monitoring data backups, ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information systems.

As a Remote Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with our IT team to identify and resolve database issues, implement backup and recovery strategies, and optimize database performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring database activity, fine and providing database support to end users as needed.

Key Responsibilities Of The Remote Backup Administrator Include

  • Setting up and configuring backup systems to ensure data is captured and stored effectively
  • Monitoring backups to identify and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Performing regular data backups to prevent loss of critical information
  • Testing backup and recovery systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Developing and implementing backup policies and procedures to safeguard data
  • Collaborating with IT teams to identify and implement backup solutions that meet the organization's needs
  • Providing support and troubleshooting assistance for backup systems as needed

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data backup and recovery
  • Strong knowledge of backup software and systems, such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas
  • Experience with cloud-based backup solutions, such as AWS or Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
