  • The Sales Chat Agent will perform a range of tasks, 80% of the time agents will assist incoming customers via live chat; 20% of the time they will be required to do outbound calls to close the sale. As a Sales Chat Agent, you will be responsible for communicating with customers through live chat to answer queries and sell the value of clients products and services. The ideal candidate can establish a positive rapport, can communicate effectively online and over the phone and can provide recommendations through needs-based selling, identify needs through probing questions, educating customers on the value, features, and benefits of their services, and being able to close the sale.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers who are active and lodge inquiries online via our client’s website.
  • Handle incoming queries from customers who are interested in learning more about clients products and service, be able to close new phone/line subscriptions, add in accessories to go with the phone, offer tablets and the latest phones.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns, record and document each transaction in all forms of communications.
  • Adhere to client privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position. Employees are required to work non-traditional business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.

  • Ability to deal with customers patiently, tactfully and efficiently by presenting services to the customer for sales opportunities.

  • Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Must be very keen to details.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • History of excellent work attendance required.
  • Comfortable interacting with a diverse customer base.
  • Must be willing to work in a shifting schedule - availability for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Must have good records if previously employed with T-Mobile account.

Technical Skills & ISP Requirements

  • Good computer navigation and internet skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
  • Ability to use current computer equipment and programs being used.
  • Must have a strong and stable internet connection at home.
  • With at least 25 mbps postpaid subscription and proof of internet billing; actual speed of at least 20 mbps download and not less than 10 mbps upload.

Experience, Education, Age

  • Minimum of two (2) years Inbound Sales with upselling experience required, preferably in a call center.
  • Sales Chat experience in a Telco program is an advantage.
  • Outbound Sales experience is also a plus or any sales experience in a call center environment.
  • Completed Senior High School or it’s equivalent (2nd year college).
  • Legal age of employment; at least 18 years old.
