The Role
We’re searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Front End Developer to join our expanding engineering team. You should have a strong understanding of native JavaScript, along with deep experience in modern frameworks like Next.js or Vue.js or Web Components. You will be responsible for building pixel-perfect, high-performance websites and ensuring the codebase adheres to accessibility standards like WCAG 2.2 and ADA. You’ll work closely with our agile team to deliver websites that are not only beautiful and fast but also accessible to everyone.
What You’ll Be Doing
- JavaScript: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable JavaScript code beyond frameworks.
- WCAG 2.2 & ADA Compliance: Ensure all digital products adhere to accessibility standards through a mix of automated and manual testing.
- Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize performance, from minimizing asset size to ensuring fast load times and seamless interactivity.
- HTML & CSS/SCSS/Tailwind: Create responsive, maintainable code that scales across devices and platforms. You’ll use modern CSS practices, including Tailwind, and ensure a semantic approach to structure.
- Collaboration: Work with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to turn ideas into beautiful, functional websites or applications.
- Browser Compatibility: Ensure that all websites are functional across multiple browsers and platforms.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies, tools, and best practices.
What You’ll Brin
- gJavaScript: You must have a deep understanding of JavaScript, and are comfortable working without relying solely on frameworks. Strong experience with Next.js, Vue.js, or similar frontend frameworks
- . Accessibility: A comprehensive understanding of WCAG 2.2, ADA, and other accessibility guidelines
- . CSS/SCSS and Tailwind: You’re comfortable building complex UI components while adhering to modern CSS methodologies
- . Web Performance: Experience optimizing code and assets for performance
- . Ci/CD & Git: Solid understanding of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- . Web Animation: A strong understanding of web animation, both with css and frameworks like framer motion, GSAP
- . Attention to Detail: Strong attention to design details, interaction patterns, and responsive behaviour across devices
- . Collaborative Mindset: A team player who can work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
