Where you’ll work:

At OVO, we understand that a one size fits all approach doesn’t work for everyone. That’s why we created the OVO Way of Flexibility.

All our roles are hub based (Bristol, Glasgow or London), providing a dedicated space for collaboration, connection and teamwork. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from home.

Everyone belongs at OVO

At OVO, we are on a mission to solve one of humanity's biggest challenges, the climate crisis. And we know it takes all of us to change the world. That's why we need diverse people from all abilities, gender identities, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, life experiences and backgrounds to join us.

Teamworking for the planet

Everything we do here spins around Plan Zero. So, naturally, the team you’ll be joining plays a gigantic role in making that happen. Here’s how:

OVO Product encompasses everything from customer facing experiences to agent tooling; supporting our customers and helping them on their journey to decarbonisation by bringing them the right products, at the right time, at the right price.

This role in a nutshell:

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Growth domain. The Growth domain’s specific focus is on shaping, designing, defining and delivering digital experiences to attract new customers to OVO and make them want to stay.

Working as a Product Manager in Growth, you’ll be integral to our acquisition strategy, always looking at ways in which to successfully promote our range of energy and non-energy products to prospective customers and successfully onboarding them to OVO.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Commercial team to align, design, and enhance our digital experiences. In this role, you’ll not only build a deep understanding of the business needs but also focus on creating seamless experiences for customers. You’ll consistently seek opportunities to drive higher new customer conversions and increase overall customer lifetime value, all while ensuring an exceptional user experience that supports and sustains a positive NPS score. Your customer-centric approach will be key to delivering value for both our partners and end-users.

You’ll work with a talented team of engineers, researchers, designers and analysts, using an API first approach to build out data-driven and hypothesis-led customer experiences, which deliver against our business strategy.

You’ll experiment your way to fulfilling customer and partner needs and providing value, and you'll often be found analysing data, story-mapping, requirement gathering, needs-assessing, optimising, stakeholder-managing and test-and-learning. You’ll work closely with the Product Leads and other Product Managers across our domains too.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Continuity of service - ensuring our latest products or subscriptions are always available to buy or renew online and are compliant.
  • An aligned and agreed product vision, strategy and roadmap that maximises value and also supports the wider Growth and acquisition strategy for OVO.
  • A positive customer experience (for both the end user and any third parties), using research, other insights and or test/learn to build effortless digital journeys or processes to support
  • A high onboarding performance rate across all of our channels, ensuring minimal customer impact or manual re-work.

You’ll be a successful Product Manager here at OVO if you…

  • Are an experienced Product Manager with a proven track record of delivering outstanding commercial and customer outcomes
  • Have API, frontend and backend software development experience and can work easily with optimisation tools, journey analysis tools
  • Have experience of technical product management
  • Use data, data optimisation software and other insights to draw out customer needs and make recommendations
  • Can work easily and confidently present information to a variety of key stakeholders (various levels), working with them to deliver what’s right
  • Have a good understanding of agile methods and cross-functional working and development at different stages of the product life cycle
  • Are happy to get stuck into the detail but can also help build the bigger picture
  • Love collaborating with others and have strong leadership skills to bring others together to solve common problems
  • Are well organised and structured, but also pragmatic in what’s needed depending on the size of the initiative
  • Can take a number of conflicting initiatives and easily prioritise and plan these based on their value and impact
  • Are proactive, and take responsibility for driving performance and seeking out the data to measure impacts
  • Love working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Have experience in the energy sector or a highly regulated industry, but not essential
