Orion Packaging is seeking a talented Regional Sales Manager to contribute to our success by proactively developing leads, building excellent customer relationships, and increasing company sales from customers to achieve sales goals. This position will represent the northeastern United States. Successful candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial attitude and intellectually curious mindset combined with the appropriate process orientation, analytical skills, sharp focus and willingness to embrace change. They will be a self-motivated, self-starter, with a strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth.
Are you passionate about this work?
• Independently and professionally represent Orion in a regional geographical territory to establish, develop and retain end-user customers and manage distribution channel partner relationships for sales growth in the marketplace (50%-60% travel/overnights required).
• Target, prospect, qualify and secure new end-user customer accounts through product demonstrations and applications.
• Establish and develop strong relationships with diverse decision makers at the end-user customers.
• Partner with distribution channel partners to develop new business opportunities while providing strong relationships with current customers for new sales opportunities.
• Establish and develop strong relationships with leadership and sales team members providing value through joint calls, end-user leads, technical and product support, and sales training in order to promote ongoing awareness and branding of Orion products and solutions and secure customer retention, saturation, and sales revenue growth.
• Develop sales plans and goals in collaboration with distribution leadership and sales teams to grow Orion sales in the marketplace.
• Collaborate with Orion engineering and internal departments as required to support customer product application requirements, proposals, and problem resolution.
• Document, track and follow up on all proposed solutions to support new business development and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Achieve defined sales goals and quotas via established sales process and plan.
• Communicate effectively with managers the sales challenges, successes and needs associated with new business development, customer retention and growth, and distribution channel partner relationships.

Total Compensation Range: $90,000-$180,000.

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree (Engineering/Technical preferred).
• Medical, Packaging, Capital Equipment, Engineered Manufacturing System/Equipment background/experience, knowledge of vertical form fill seal packaging industries and applications preferred.
• 5+ years of proven sales experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with employees and channel partners.
• Must possess a technical competency to work with engineering and production departments.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand electrical and mechanical schematics. The ability to use AutoCAD is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to plan and guide projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent leadership skills and a team player.
• Ability to learn and understand Salesforce.com for reporting purposes.
