Job description

The Senior Director of FP&A will be a strategic leader and trusted partner to the executive team, driving financial planning, analysis, and strategy to support Weave's ambitious growth trajectory. This role demands a visionary thinker with exceptional leadership skills and expertise in SaaS and Payments business models. You will set the direction for FP&A excellence, building and scaling capabilities to deliver strategic insights, optimize decision-making, and ensure robust financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in high-growth environments, leading impactful teams, and providing executive-level financial leadership. This role requires exceptional business acumen, deep expertise in financial operations, and a strong ability to influence strategic outcomes.

What You Will Own

  • Lead FP&A Strategy: Define and implement the long-term vision for FP&A at Weave, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and scalability for growth.

  • Executive Partnership: Collaborate directly with the C-suite to shape and execute strategic financial initiatives, aligning financial planning with corporate strategy.

  • Forecasting and Analysis: Oversee comprehensive financial planning cycles, including multi-year strategic models, annual operating plans, and ongoing forecasting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive insights through sophisticated financial modeling, scenario planning, and performance tracking to guide critical business decisions.

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to uncover growth opportunities, improve margins, and optimize resource allocation, embedding financial insights into operational strategies.

  • Financial Communication: Present financial results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the board, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.

  • Process Optimization: Implement best-in-class tools, systems, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A activities.

  • M&A and Strategic Initiatives: Support M&A due diligence, partnership modeling, and integration planning, ensuring alignment with Weave’s strategic goals.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

  • 12+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within high-growth, technology-driven organizations.

  • Deep expertise in SaaS and Payments industry financial models and drivers.

  • Exceptional financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable strategies.

  • Proven ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes at the executive level.

  • Proficiency in advanced financial tools and technologies (e.g., Excel, Adaptive Insights, SQL, BI platforms).

  • Experience navigating public company requirements, including US GAAP or IFRS.

  • Strong understanding of SMB dynamics and the Payments ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated success in M&A and strategic partnership initiatives.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a strong executive presence.
