Job description

LPA Design Studios is seeking a passionate Writer/Producer to help us create compelling stories about our industry-leading work designing healthier, carbon-free projects. In this role, you will write articles for our quarterly magazine, cover the latest news for our Web site, manage social media and digital campaigns, and work with architects and designers to produce media projects promoting our work and collaborative culture to a broad audience.

 

This role requires strong writing and editing experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in business journalism and/or the AEC industry. You will be required to handle a wide variety of writing tasks on a deadline, including coverage of news event, writing compelling headlines, editing copy and developing engaging and high-quality digital content that aligns with our business goals.



What you will do:

  • Interview clients, team members and industry leaders to write articles and analysis for Catalyst, our quarterly magazine, the Web and related platforms.

  • Write and produce opinion and Insight articles with firm leaders.

  • Collaborate with graphic artists and communication team to manage and produce firm’s social media and digital media efforts.

  • Write press releases and engaging, targeted copy for brand initiatives and related corporate projects.

  • Create compelling headlines, edit copy and provide editorial support for firm publications.

  • Ensure editorial integrity, consistency, and accuracy of all content.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar.

  • 5+ years of experience in journalism or related field.

  • Experience writing about business, architecture, engineering or construction industries, with a solid understanding of creating clear, compelling articles that resonate with target audiences.

  • Great collaborator, equally capable of leading and supporting projects as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Very detailed oriented, with excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Portfolio showcasing previous work.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
