What you will do:Prepare or oversee complete drawings for schematic design, design development and construction documents in collaboration with other team members, architects, clients and consultants.Lead the electrical design effort and coordination with other disciplines to determine their needs for equipment power, lighting and any special systems throughout the building or project scope.Understand the design and code requirements related to medium voltage and utility systems.Participate in multiple project types, size and complexity, including the most complex projects and those employing new technologies in the industry.Provide unique and creative electrical design solutions based on engineering judgement and information provided by other team members, clients and consultants; compare alternative schemes for electrical distribution based on cost, efficiency, space requirements and other criteria.Estimate hours and fees for projects, review cost estimates, write and edit project specifications and develop new specifications as needed.Provide feasibility reports for existing facilities and electrical systems, including load analysis, capacity and requirements for electrical loads; specify metering and field surveys as required.Assist with construction administration including punch-lists, RFIs and submittal reviews.Understand special systems including photovoltaics, emergency power systems, battery storage systems, fire pumps and grounding; have a basic understanding of low voltage and fire alarm systems.

Electrical Project Manager Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience in electrical engineering and the design of building power and lighting systems
Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) License
Exposure to AutoCAD and Revit preferred
Have a good understanding of the electrical code and energy code layout, common sections used in design and where to locate relevant tables and requirements.
Have a good understanding of how to value engineer a project as needed, to reduce costs if requested by the client or owner, including approximate estimates of construction costs.
Extensive knowledge of electrical, building and energy code requirements and key client owner standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $180,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity.
