Job Description Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of customer-facing Rocket product related projects as well as planning / managing non-product initiatives. The Senior PM is able to take on complex projects at any phase and ensure alignment with all stakeholders on objectives, schedules and clearly defined milestones, while keeping the project on track. The Senior PM provides full transparency into project status, provides well-formed data analysis, and holds team members accountable for deliverables. They are responsible within Rocket for the success of the projects they manage. The Senior PM is responsible for taking lead and providing oversight to the project team with oversight from the Customer Solutions Engineering PMO management team. The Senior PM is able to independently manage large, complex, multi-workstream projects. Projects can vary from technology refresh or upgrade projects to major transformations of business systems. During a project the Senior PM acts as the primary interface to the customer and Rocket stakeholders. The Senior PM is expected to master, follow, and contribute to continual improvement of the Rocket delivery methodology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accountable as central point of contact throughout the project lifecycle for delivery of projects to Rocket customers
• Advise customer project teams of industry project management best practices and guidance in Agile methodologies
• Establish the Rocket delivery Agile project management framework on customer projects
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as product backlog reviews, sprint planning meetings, and scrum meetings
• Ensure clarity of project scope and customer objectives
• Facilitate development of the project strategy
• Develop the project plan and schedule, identifying key milestones and pre-requisites
• Manage project budget and monitor margins
• Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives
• Communicate clearly with customer and Rocket teams at all levels, ensuring understanding of milestones, action items, risks, and resource requirements
• Facilitate conflict resolution and motivate team members to deliver as agreed
• Coordinate activities across different organizational functions
• Keep projects on track by
  • Measuring: Checking project progress toward meeting its objectives
  • Evaluating: Determining the cause of deviations from the plan
  • Determining and taking corrective actions
• Responsible for multiple products and project types

Required Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of 8+ years of related project management experience
• PMP/PMI or Prince2 certified
• Proven track record of full lifecycle project management for delivery of solutions to customers
• Must have previous experience managing Agile project teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mastery of working in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate verbally and in written format in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to communicate verbally and in written format in German

Annual salary range for this position is between €34,854.22 - €64,729.27 gross before taxes.

Salary range applies only to candidates in Lithuania

Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
