Summary:
The Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) Project Manager facilitates the delivery of world class service to our Customers by managing the delivery of complex projects by working closely with stakeholders across all areas of the business, including operations, quality and finance. Projects will span across multiple facilities and technologies across AST Americas ranging up to approximately $6m in capital spend.
Responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and closing.
This is a remote position based in the United States.
Travel estimated up to 25% (Mix of Domestic & International)
What you will do as a Project Manager:
- Define project goals, objectives and scope in line with business strategy
- Review and determine the best way to fulfil project goals and objectives
- Assemble and manage cross-functional project teams, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
- Identification of internal and external project stakeholders, management of communication with all stakeholders
- Plan and allocate resources needed to deliver projects
- Generate and manage project documentation as required e.g. project definition document
- Create and continuously update project plans
- Identify, assess and monitor project risks, manage appropriately
- Manage external suppliers to deliver projects including finding suitable suppliers, managing scope of work, supervising supplier performance, ensuring quality management requirements are met and managing supplier purchase orders and invoices .
- Accountable for preparing, requesting, and supervising project budget, capital investments and expenses in conjunction with operational and finance teams
- Utilize appropriate validation documentation, industry best practices and standards throughout entire project execution, as required, e.g.GAMP5, project management methodologies
- Collect and monitor project progress
- Measure project performance against KPI’s at project close-out to define success and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously contributes to the STERIS values and business imperatives and ensure these are embraced by project teams
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed:
Required:
- 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor's Degree
- Project management experience
- Proficient with MS Office suite of products
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred:
- Certified project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2/PMP desirable
- Experience with project management tools
- Experience with Engineering projects

- Awareness of quality management and documentation.
- Good understanding of the principle of continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership qualities (leading by example).
- High degree of trust, integrity and honesty.
- Self-starter
- Acute awareness of the importance of safety to the business.
