Global Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing works directly with Division & Functional Leadership to shape our long-term strategies to position our supply chain as a competitive advantage. No day will look the same. You will lead and own the long term development strategies of our suppliers’ positioning to meet our system-based Operations requirements. This includes areas such as their capability gaps, capacity constraints and internal/external investment strategies to minimize the risks. You may be asked to stand up a Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Sector or partner with an existing team out of one of the Divisions or Sectors. Better yet, you will tell us where you see technology gaps, and proactively move to improve.
We are looking for an experienced and cross-functional leader, comfortable executing in ambiguous situations, and able to quickly come up to speed to work autonomously across a fast moving demand. There will be a strong focus around Data Integration and Forecasting tools, namely project Arsenal. Horsepower is critical but passion for our mission and a willingness to be flexible in helping us accomplish it is a must. 100% remote will be considered for this role or in our Linthicum, MD facility.
What you'll get to do:
- You will be the Product Owner of Project Arsenal, an MS pilot of the Palantir Foundry software, defining priorities and working towards execution of priority use cases such as forecasting, sim-to analysis, and taxonomy identification, etc. You will be expected to understand how GSC processes work and how to improve operational efficiencies across the enterprise to support the mission and provide value to the enterprise.
- Lead a cross-sector team in an Agile environment, defining program increment objectives and working to mitigate solution risks. You will be responsible for providing guidance and knocking down roadblocks for the solution team.
- Collaborate with other functional teams and their solutions, identifying opportunities for integration and bolstering the digital thread. Identify key dependencies and address any identified risks.
- Become the connective tissue across the organization. You will be exposed to macro conversations at the highest levels as well as the tactical work our teams are driving. You will be expected to communicate up, down, and across the organization to ensure we are all moving in the same direction.
- Capable to present to Executive Management (i.e. VP of Digital Transformation, VP of Operations, Director of GSC DTO Portfolio, etc.) to provide clarity on the advancement on your initiatives within the Enterprise, Sector and Supply Chain.
- Frequently communicate with business and technical leadership and translate high level conversations into action.
Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Info Systems Project Manager:
- 8+ years of supply chain, project management, process improvement and/or related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 6+ years of supply chain, project management, process improvement and/or related with a Master’s Degree, 4+ years of supply chain, project management, process improvement and/or related with a PhD.
- 3 or more years of leadership
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications for Sr Principal Info Systems Project Manager:
- Prior experience leading large projects collaborating across functions (Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.)
- Prior experience with the Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
- Prior experience within Global Supply Chain processes to support program execution
Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $196,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
