Business Transactions and Services Assistant

Department:
Business and Finance | Procurement Shared Service Center

The Business Transactions and Services Assistant will serve as the initial point of contact for requesters on a broad range of procurement, travel, and expense transactions. Under the direction of the Procurement Shared Services Center management, works on entry level requests to support the department. Responsible for triaging customer questions related to procurement and expense as it relates to university policy and procedures, state and federal law, and industry best practices to faculty, staff, suppliers and guests of the university.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to follow through and high attention to detail. Understand the importance and value in providing exceptional service to all stakeholders. Capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications:

At least one (1) year of experience with financial management systems (preferably Workday Systems). Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a high volume and deadline driven environment. Works well within a team environment. Enjoy working in a culture that promotes work/life balance, peer collaboration, autonomy, and supportive leadership. Knowledge of Ohio State University policy and procedures.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $15.70 to $20.67 per hour.
