Job Summary
Part of a larger team delivering high quality Computer, Network, Storage and End-User Infrastructure technology solutions, on-going support to the business. Assists with infrastructure project assignments. Helps plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Helps provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Helps manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitors system performance and installs and configures hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Working under direct supervision, responsibilities include the following related to Computer, Network, Storage, Cloud and End-User infrastructure:
Perform basic & routine infrastructure project assignments.
Assist with planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing systems.
Provide basic technical support and assists with analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities. Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations.
Participate in the preparation of technical documentation including procedures, manuals, and reports.
Reviews and adheres to budgeting and approval processes while assisting with annual and project planning.
Minimum Requirements:
Infrastructure Engineer Associate (SG5):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: No additional experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Infrastructure Engineer (SG6):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/Skills:
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Experience supporting general end user technologies: Windows 10 and 11, Virtual Desktops, MacOS, Workstation Hardware (Mac, Dell, HP)
PowerShell coding experience
5+ years' experience hardware and software computer troubleshooting.
Basic coding experience.
Customer Service skill needed.
ServiceNow experience desired.
Compensation:
Infrastructure Engineer Associate (SG5): $60,438.00-$75,546.50
Infrastructure Engineer Principal (SG6): $70,961.00-$88,700.50

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location.
