Title: Data Scientist - P3

Location: Remote United Kingdom

Reports To: Director of Data Science

 

The Role: 

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our talented UK team to help develop and deliver new products, services and insights to our global customers in the automotive sector.

 

The Impact You Will Have in This Role: 

The role will directly contribute to the development of safer, more reliable cars, influencing the automotive industry positively.

 

 What You'll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Using the latest AI methods to solve complex data challenges across the automotive industry.
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets related to car repair data.
  • Developing predictive models to understand potential car faults and their causes.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to provide insights for improving car design and manufacturing.
  • Preparing detailed data reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuously updating data analytics strategies to leverage new technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to fellow members of the Data Science team.

 

Qualifications of this Role: 

Desirable experience

  • Demonstrable experience working on data science related projects as part of a team.
  • Experience delivering value to stakeholders.

Required technical skills

  • Degree in relevant subject.
  • Expertise using Python.
  • Expertise using machine learning techniques.
  • Experience using statistical techniques.

Desirable technical skills

  • Post graduate degree.
  • Experience using Spark.
  • Experience working with Large Language Models.
  • Experience with natural language processing/text analysis.
  • Experience with actuarial loss reserving techniques.

Desirable competencies

Be able to combine independent thinking with problem-solving skills. You will also need to work well as part of a team and have a flexible and agile approach to your work.
