ISSET is seeking a Software Engineer for the role of Software Development Operations (SW DevOps). The role is defined as a remote job (full time work from home), and includes the following responsibilities:
Configuration and execution of development, demo, test, lab, and production environments.
Design and documentation of system installation and upgrade processes for our software solutions.
Perform OS and application installations and upgrades remotely.
Level 3 support for our software solutions, as requested by our Call Center organization responsible for level 1 and 2 support, during business hours only.
Provide remote support to Motorola Solutions personnel performing installations and upgrades on-site.
Development of tooling for support purposes.
Creation of documentation for training third parties on level 1 and 2 support processes.
Maintenance of the technical foundation of globally deployed servers for the implementation of our software solutions.
Design and management of software licensing, including licensing reports.
Evaluation of non-functional requirements and hardware design to meet those requirements.
Support the presales engineering organization by answering technical queries regarding team solutions.
Working knowledge of software testing.
Excellent knowledge of Linux (preferably RHEL), including usage, configuration, and implementation of production servers.
Knowledge of Configuration Management tools.
Experience in using and configuring Mongo and Postgres databases.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
Experience in using configuration management tools (preferably Ansible)
Familiarity with Docker and/or containers in general.
Experience in setting up and configuring physical servers.
Networking knowledge.
Understanding of Security configurations.
Fluency in English is essential, Spanish fluency is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
5 or more years experience in similar roles
