Job description

Kroll is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Vendor Management to join our team. The Director of Vendor Management will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of key vendor relationships, ensuring that our vendors meet our company's standards and expectations. The Director of Vendor Management will have significant interactions with key operational leaders in the organization as the managed service will impact key business service areas throughout the organization. This is a fully remote position.

The Day-to-day Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Completing work necessary for defining the charter and building a strategic partner management organization
  • Develop and implement vendor management processes and strategies to optimize vendor performance and drive cost savings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations and business case value realization.
  • Maintain a central repository for storing key performance, contractual and financial documentation
  • Identify and mitigate vendor risks to protect the company from potential liabilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor management goals with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead a team of vendor management professionals to support the company's vendor management initiatives
  • Developing processes and organization capability to execute strategic provider relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in vendor management or procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a team of vendor management professionals
  • Knowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trends
  • Clear thinker who anticipates and develops strategies for anticipating future consequences and trends
  • Cope with change and work effectively without having the total picture
  • Cleary delineates responsibilities and sets clear objectives and measures
  • Quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of new situations and problems
  • Experience in designing and deploying performance management processes and systems
  • Knows how organizations work; knows how to get things done through formal channels and the informal network
