The
Business Development Manager (TH, MY, ID) is responsible for closely monitoring market trends and competitors' dynamics, promptly adjusting business strategies to adapt to changes, and developing innovative marketing plans to expand the company's influence and market share.
This position reports to the
Head of Sales, Microscopy and is part of the Microscopy Sales Team located in the SEA Region and will be working remotely to cover Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Revenue and Strategy Management: Oversee the revenue generation for the assigned division and region by formulating and executing business development plans and division strategies. This includes pricing and discounting responsibilities and ensuring compliance with regulatory, international, and company EHS requirements.
- Product and Marketing Management: Manage product and marketing activities for the assigned divisions by developing and rolling out training programs, creating price/performance maps, identifying product gaps, and providing recommendations for improvement. Build and maintain a regional customer database for the market segment.
- Sales Support and Tools: Provide essential sales and marketing tools to improve the win rate for sales and service teams. This includes product and application support, ensuring the right level of know-how at POI, and managing demos, workshops, and application support.
- Market Intelligence and Business Planning: Continuously monitor market trends and competitors' dynamics, adjusting business strategies accordingly. Provide VOC, EPS, forecasts, and PSI to factory and operations. Identify business plans for current and potential tender opportunities, focusing on expanding the company's market influence and share.
- Key Account Management: Collaborate with the sales team to drive sales initiatives and manage key accounts. Develop and implement short and long-term operational plans for key accounts, ensuring the effective onboarding of new clients and the growth and development of existing ones. Act as the key interface between customers and relevant divisions, making regular visits to gather market information and relay it to management. Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Degree in Life Science or related fields
- Min 8 years of relevant product marketing experience in Life Science Research/ Applied Industry
- Strong knowledge of products and distribution channels
- Previous experience in Account Management or Territory/Region Sales
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel – 100% within Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia region.
