Job Description:

Take control of our financial analytics and reporting processes, owning the end to end creation, management and development of our business performance suite with a focus around utilizing finance and accounting information and marrying this with other data sources. Be the expert the finance team turns to and embed yourself in the day to day operations of the FP&A team.

Help define the data structure, collection and creation of a data assets which can be utilized for:

  • reporting

  • modeling

  • commercial planning

  • growth/ROI

Work with operational marketing teams to make commercial marketing decisions.

You will be working with platforms such as Xero and GCP.


Core Tasks:

  • Work hand in hand with the marketing teams to boost performance through data-driven insights

  • Work with the wider team to identify growth opportunities and act on them quickly

  • Use techniques such as driver trees, causal lens and econometrics to assist in business decision making and positively impact revenue

  • Own data from a marketing perspective, working with the Growth and Analytics leaders to define the future roadmap

  • Own the insights roadmap and work with stakeholders to ensure information is accurate and accessible

  • Teach. True data-driven marketing is a constantly evolving concept and teaching marketeers how to read data and use models is key

  • Build and maintain driver trees, automate marketing testing and reporting using causal lenses

Build and maintain models and utilize modern econometric methods to gain understanding

Essential Requirements:

  • Operational knowledge of basic accounting practices

  • Understand how to leverage data and insight for commercial growth

  • Visualise data effectively and create succinct analysis (predominantly through Looker and Tableau)

  • Familiar with building and deploying data assets and ETL’ing data from platforms.

  • SQL at an advanced level is essential

  • Xero knowledge and its backend datasets is essential

  • BigQuery/GCP exposure

  • Web Analytics knowledge would be beneficial (preferably GA or Snowplow)

  • python/R would be beneficial
