ISS is partway through a service Transformation program focused not just on our technology but the value we bring to our customers in every aspect of our service delivery. Our newly launched OneCape offering forms a key part of this transformation journey. This role will work with our core team, which is primarily focused on providing value and support to internal hub users who directly support our OneCape Hub customers.


This team is in the process of building out and working towards maturing their Scrum practice, as they are transitioning to feature development having been previously working on maintenance and support priorities. You will support the team and drive this journey of continuous improvement, implementing strong foundations for the team to build on that are more focused on Scrum principles than just going through the motions of Scrum ceremonies. In particular, you will foster an environment of positive communication and understanding, encouraging questions, discussion, and cross-team collaboration. This will be of particular importance across products where we often have complex dependencies. There will also be a need to implement and improve processes for ways of working, identify gaps and challenges that the team is facing, and create plans for addressing these to support the team's development. Ideally, you will have been on a similar journey in a previous organization and can demonstrate how you have taken practical steps to implement Scrum and agile principles in a way that is tailored to both the team and company needs.


Purpose of Job   


Plan and deliver business-critical product development. Ensure that the development team follows the scrum framework and agile practices. Mentor and motivate the team to improve processes, and facilitate meetings/ceremonies and decision-making processes. Eliminate team impediments.


What you’ll do:


• Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
• Mentor and support the scrum team to follow agile values, principles, and practices
• Collaborate with the Product Manager/Product Owner to build high-functioning development teams
• Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items
• In collaboration with the Product Manager/Product Owner, ensure there is a prioritized backlog of user stories
• Facilitate a collaborative planning and estimating process
• In collaboration with the Product Manager/Product Owner, prioritize, refine, and include L3 tickets in the              sprint backlog
• Schedule and facilitate scrum ceremonies (e.g. daily stand-ups, retros, etc) and decision-making processes
• Monitor progress and performance using appropriate metrics and help the team make improvements
• Champion continuous improvement
• Plan and organize demos
• Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and remove impediments to the scrum team
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to understand and track dependencies between teams
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve the agile practice and ways of working

• Support the Product Manager/Product Owner by preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.


Who you are:

Essential- Knowledge, Experience, Education & Skills


• Relevant degree in information technology or related field
• Ability to lead, influence, and work with people belonging to different cultures
• Plan and manage Product delivery
• Knowledge of full-stack software engineering and modern delivery practices
• Thorough knowledge of the entire software development life cycle with experience in delivering critical               product/projects
• Knowledge of application integrations and API
• Strong analytical and conceptual ability to function both at detail and conceptual level

• Certified scrum master

• Excellent team management skills with the ability to tailor style to the needs of the team

• Must have come from a software development background using .NET technologies
• Understanding of AWS cloud native development using EC2, Lambda, S3, Simple Que Service etc.
• Experience with any middleware platform and Database technologies will be an added      advantage

• 5+ years of agile delivery management experience
• Ability to manage immature scrum teams, taking into account both where the team is now and with the long-    term view of coaching them to develop into mature practices
• Management of teams that have built and maintained business critical products/applications with a high           workload and competing priorities
• Exposure to Business-critical systems integrations & RPA
• Experience in handling DevOps & site reliability engineering teams will be an added advantage
