UX Engineer
Job Description
You are the connective tissue between design, product, and engineering. In this role, you will contribute to the next iteration of internal products and design systems by delivering HTML and CSS for enterprise level UI components, creating and reviewing user interfaces, bridging the gap between product capabilities and design teams.
Your work will also involve partnering with product managers, designers, and accessibility teams to create experiences used by tens of thousands of users daily.

- Collaborating with stakeholders to define design, business and technical goals and map solutions back to products.
- Designing innovative solutions to address challenges and build those solutions.
- Developing customized story-driven demonstrations that solve human problems.
- Communicating and documenting technical concepts clearly, for both technical and non technical audiences
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills to wider audiences
- Expertise in crafting clear, valid, accessible, semantic HTML markup
- A love of solving problems — both human and technical
- A strong handle on debugging and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, FramerX or similar design tool
- Expert understanding of the Salesforce development stack; don’t worry if you don’t have it on day
one, you will learn it by day 10.
- Understanding of CI/CD and semantic versioning
- Expert knowledge of CSS:
- Experience working on complex projects with a large scale impact
- Expert knowledge at creating responsive layouts
- Clear understanding of modular CSS development, such as BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, and Atomic Design, and enough experience to articulate the differences between these methodologies
- Thorough knowledge of browser compatibility issues, support, and how to create
experiences that adapt across browsers and devices/
- A strong interest in keeping up to date on the latest in CSS developments and specs
- Component-based user interface development experience, including how to construct and
deconstruct components, with a focus on creating composable and reusable UI elements
- Practical knowledge of accessibility best practices, WCAG 2.1 AA compliancy, and ARIA
- Familiarity with web components, or with a modern front-end framework, such as React, Vue, Angular, LWC, or Ember
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks
- Strong focus in the following areas of design such as:

- User-centered design methodologies & processes
- Lean / Agile UX
- Inclusive design / building accessible products
