Job description

We are looking for an experience Lead Product Consultant to lead across the newly formed product development function, accountable for developing, managing and executing on a product development plan to include the full range of CPS products.

The successful candidate will be the player manager, supporting the development of a small team, with a focus on our contact centre and digital business solutions.

You will be working alongside relevant proposition leads, technologists and solutions teams, develop standard, modular and repeatable solutions, that can be tailored and deployed into customer opportunities across Capita Public Services and beyond.

This is a home based role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide direct management of the product team, take responsibility for the performance and quality of the output to growth; ensuring timescales are met, products are compelling and delivered in line with business strategy and targets
  • Player manager role, to support the broader team through effective leadership and management, also leading by example, with a personal focus on contact centre and digital business solutions
  • Actively manage the detailed product/product line roadmap, standards and controls, their evolution and implementation to make them the best they can be for Capita and our customers
  • Innovation – drive innovation in our approach to product design and management
  • Own the product development process, along with associated tooling, to ensure a consistent, focused and predictable approach to product development
  • To ensure that authorisation and control processes are in place for product lifecycle, ensuring implementation and monitoring the levels of compliance against Capita Policies and Standards
  • Ensue the prioritisation and co-ordination of workflow into the team on a ongoing basis
  • Ongoing vendor alignment to capture, latest releases, updates, pricing and technology roadmaps
  • Identifying areas for improvement in the product lifecycle process to drive continuous improvement
  • Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads, acting as a spokesperson for Capita at sales events and conferences.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience of delivering product and solutions to address complex business needs
  • Knowledge of Capita’s solutions and sectors in which Capita operates
  • Proven leadership capability, able to inspire teams. bringing leadership to life through the Capita
  • Developed skills and knowledge in contact centre and digital business solutions
  • Strong understanding of technology trends and how they affect Capita and our customers, develop a detailed understanding of Capita solutions and services, which must inform our product roadmap.
  • Evidence of experience of defining and delivering multi-technology, innovative, cost competitive and repeatable products or solutions
  • Demonstrable skills in understanding the needs of organisations and designing and delivering compelling solutions to address them
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the bigger picture of how our team fits into the broader organisation and articulate how the function should align and integrate to positively contribute
