Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly proficient and experienced Systems Engineer to join our technical services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring our client’s IT and Network Infrastructure, patching and updating their systems to ensuring the maximum uptime, security and operation of their systems. This is done through the monitoring and management automation tools that Client utilises. You will be working with Small, Midsize and Enterprise companies, providing monitoring and support from L1 to L3 and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor inbound RMM & EDR Tickets, assess them & remediate or escalate without delays
Identify gaps, issues or security concerns within the customers' environments
Self-management of your working day and your priorities
Patch and QA Customer infrastructure in line with the customer’s maintenance plan
Work with Senior Consultants and Account Management staff to ensure effective management of the clients
Ensure maximum stability & Uptime of customer environments

Requirements

Skills you need to be successful in the role:

Prior experience in an MSP type role providing similar Pro-Active monitoring and Patch Management Solution
Solid understanding of a wide range of IT technologies - servers, virtualization, networking and cloud to name just a few
High level knowledge of networking, server, and virtualization (seasoned L2 or L3)
Implementation and troubleshooting experience of Cloud based hosted platforms, IaaS and 365 platforms
Skills with RMM & EDR Tools

Key Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working on Networks, Desktops and Servers (Helpdesk background will also be considered beneficial)
Demonstrated experience:
Supporting Cloud, LAN and WAN infrastructures
Patching and updating Server, Desktops and Network Environments
Minimum 12 months’ experience in:
Nable N-Central RMM (or similar RMM)
Connectwise Manage (or similar PSA)
IT Glue (or similar password / documentation management)
Solarwinds Network Monitor (or similar)
An experienced understanding and support methods for the above technologies
Superior communication skills, written and verbal, must be fluent in English and possess great phone manner
Experience in:
Operating within an IT support team environment and in meeting deadlines
Working within a Microsoft On-Premise / Cloud environment
Working within Virtual environments
Advanced knowledge in supporting PC software applications, particularly Office 365 Suite
Relevant qualifications in Information Technology or related field
