Job description

PROJECT INFORMATION:

Industry: e-commerce/ the world’s biggest jewellery manufacturer

Location: 100% remote

Business trips: occasional to Warsaw.

Project language: English

Project length: first contract for 6 months + extensions

EQ: BYOD

TEAM:

Data Management, 20+ people, multi-cultural team spread over 3 locations: Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Thailand.

Data Management team is composed of Data Governance, Data Excellence, Data Architecture, Master Data Tooling and ERP Master Data teams.

ROLE:

As a data cleansing analyst you will be responsible for driving data cleansing activities to ensure data quality standards are met and maintained across the organization.

You will be an essential part the Data Management team as well as the rest of the Master Data Organisation.

Your primary focus will be on one of our most valued company assets, data. Through the collaboration with the Master Data ERP Project Team, Data Governance Team, Data Owners, you will ensure that data is accurate and data rules are applied consistently across IT landscapes.

In addition you will work closely with Data Cleaning Manager to develop and implement Data Cleansing Strategy for data cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Being responsible for data cleansing analysis to detect, correct or remove duplicate, inaccurate, or obsolete records from a source record set, tables or a respective database.
  • Supporting of developing Data Cleansing & Enrichment initiatives to ensure data quality and consistency for the defined scope of the datasets.
  • Helping to design and implement Data Cleansing strategy in Data Management domain to improve the data accuracy across the organization.
  • Helping in defining, documenting and implementing business rules, validity checks and/or KPIs to identify and correct data errors.
  • Collaborating closely with the other teams in Data Management like Data Governance, Data Quality and SAP Implementation project teams to ensure the data clean-up activities are prioritized accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven 2+ years of experience in a similar role, and master data.
  • You have strong analytical skills and an experience of using databases, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to use specific Excel functions including VLookup and Pivot tables
  • You have very good communication skills to gather requirements for data cleansing activities, as well as documenting and presenting the findings
  • You have the ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are proficient in both - spoken and written English.
