Position Summary:
MAG is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support NAVAIR's Air Anti-Submarine Warfare Systems Program (PMA-264). The Systems Engineer will support the design, development, and testing of systems and System of Systems (SoS). Additional tasks will include development and analysis of system requirements and system architecture, development of specifications, and test procedures. The engineer also will support the Chief Engineer with efforts to test, verify and validate component and system performance with subsystem and system integration and test efforts and the conduct of formal system acceptance testing in lab and field settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
- Participates in the development of test strategies.
- Solves engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
- Support briefings/presentations, trainings, test events, and Program Reviews as requested.
- This position may require travel to support training and test events.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
- Experience conducting the systematic translation of product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Ability to define systems processes, interfaces and architectures including design and reverse engineering where it is necessary
- Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
- Experience developing design documentation including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptions.
- Experience with production of technical papers and technical presentations
The minimum years of related experience required:
- Candidate must have 3-10 years of demonstrated experience in the System Engineering
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline
Desired Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
- At least four (4) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline and two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting the anti-submarine warfare systems development related to air platforms.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is enthusiastic about learning and being part of a team.
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
- Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
- Must be a US citizen
- Secret Security Clearance
- Percentage of Travel Required: 10% for CONUS

The projected compensation range for this position is $110000 to $120000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
