Job description

Role Summary:

This role will support Medicare Advantage bid goals and strategy by producing and maintaining value add analytics to influence decision making, goal setting, and overall bid strategy and meaningful outcomes. They will support and align regional strategies aimed at optimizing bid outcomes to foster multiyear enterprise growth and margin goals. This is a multifaceted role, including project management, technical analysis, and long-term prioritization. This role will work continually with matrix partners over the life cycle of the bid to evolve the business and ensure enterprise and regional goals are achieved.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports the evaluation and implementation of strategic initiatives to influence our Medicare Advantage annual bids.
  • Aids in both near and long-term analytics of Medicare Advantage bids development, improving quality and value to our customers and while driving desired business outcomes .
  • Works in strong partnership with Actuary, Product, Sales & Marketing and our Market organizations to optimize efficiency and transparency of goals.
  • Facilitate a strong communication plan of annual bid goals between regional leadership, markets, and other business segments to remove obstacles, improve responsiveness and facilitate prompt, efficient decision making via analytics and competitive intelligence.
  • In collaboration with the Bid Strategy Director and matrix partners, helps develop and maintain a strategic plan that supports the organization’s vision, margin and long-term strategy.
  • Owns and maintains the source of truth for the bid reporting hierarchy.
  • Partners with Finance and Actuary to understand and deliver transparency of economic assumptions across the bid cycle.
  • Partners with sales and marketing to help quantify bid goals which supports the development and implementation of our sales and marketing strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key department stakeholders across teams, functions, and locations to enhance planning, leverage reporting opportunities and improve processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Medicare Advantage bid experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Teradata, SQL, and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Python and Tableau experience is preferred.
  • Ability to identify gaps, define reporting needs and execute on deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with immediate team members and business partners.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical analysis to key stakeholders.
  • Proven interpersonal skills necessary to facilitate productive discussions.
  • Partners well with others; proven ability to foster collaboration among team members and across teams.
  • Proven analytical abilities especially in decision making and problem solving.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to self-start and work independently, as well as collaboratively.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 111,500 - 185,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
