Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Specialist with a strong focus on designing, building, and deploying custom applications. This role requires expertise in developing robust, scalable solutions primarily using Power Apps, with a deep understanding of the broader Power Platform ecosystem. As a Power Platform Specialist you will provide technical design, establish best practices, implement solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-impact applications that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Application Design and Development:
    • Develop and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
    • Implement seamless data integration with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and other data sources.
    • Create responsive and user-friendly app interfaces tailored to specific business needs.
  • Workflow Automation:
    • Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to complement app functionality.
    • Optimize process efficiency by integrating Power Apps with Power Automate and other systems.
  • Power BI
    • Design efficient data models for analysis.
    • Cleaning, shaping and transforming data for meaningful insights.
    • Integrate with external sources to build user friendly and interactive dashboards.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Serve as a go-to expert for Power Platform technologies, providing guidance on design patterns, scalability, and security.
    • Stay updated on Microsoft’s Power Platform roadmap and advise on leveraging new features effectively.
  • Solution Lifecycle Management:
    • Ensure end-to-end delivery of applications, from requirements gathering and development to testing and deployment.
    • Perform troubleshooting and bug fixing to maintain the reliability of applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business users and cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
    • Provide technical recommendations and best practices for app design and performance optimization.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Enhance existing applications by incorporating new capabilities and addressing user feedback.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Extensive experience developing custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and integration with Dataverse, SharePoint, or external databases.
  • Proficiency in Power FX, JavaScript, and SQL for advanced application functionality.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Power Apps with Power Automate and other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Ability to design user-focused applications with intuitive interfaces and seamless performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for Power Platform development.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex Power Platform solutions, such as custom connectors or integrations with external APIs.
  • Previous federal consulting experience
