Job description

Innovate with purpose

At BILL, we believe in empowering the businesses that drive our economy. By replacing outdated financial processes with innovative tools, we help businesses—from startups to established brands—make smarter decisions and gain control of their operations. And we don’t stop there: we’re creating the future of financial automation so businesses can spend more time on what matters.

Working here means you become part of a vision-driven team that’s ready to tackle challenges and build cutting-edge solutions. We value purpose, drive, and curiosity—and we thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Whether in one of our offices in San Jose, CA, Draper, UT, or working remotely, BILLders collaborate to deliver real impact for businesses that need more time in their busy weeks.

At BILL, we listen, learn, and lead—fostering collaboration and a drive for continuous growth. We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that values each person’s unique skills and experiences. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we’d love to hear from you—you might be just what we’re looking for, whether in this role or another.

✨ Let’s give businesses more time for what matters.

Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Consistent cash flow can often be one of the most difficult hurdles for small business owners to overcome. Without consistent cash flow and a strong cash margin, it’s hard—if not impossible—to pay for things including operations, general overhead, and payroll. Invoice financing is a way for entrepreneurs to put themselves in a better cash position. Due to this, we want a senior product leader to build loan products, and leverage growth hacking and drive adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Entrepreneurial product owner: Own, build and drive the product roadmap and go to market strategy for loans and payment products. Manage prioritization and trade-offs to balance quality and speed.
  • Growth Hacker: Have a good understanding for how to build simple products, drive adoption, leverage marketing to create awareness and hit adoption targets. You should be experienced in acquisition, adoption, monetization and retention.
  • Problem Solver: Data driven and analytical. Define success metrics for your P&L. Propose hypotheses & run rapid tests to validate them. You data to segment customers and find product market fit.
  • Team Player: Builds strong relationships with internal (UX, engineering, marketing, legal, risk) and external stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment and buy-in on the requirements and prioritization of product ideas. Partner with Sales, Customer Support and Operations to define Go to market plan and successfully launch new vendor service offerings with aggressive timelines.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Must have worked on and launched 2+ lending products (Eg. term loans, SBA loans, Factoring, BNPL, etc.)
  • 7+ years of product management or related professional experience
  • Strong product management skills, defining product vision, priorities and roadmap, and an innate ability to nail the “Why” before jumping into solutions.
  • Excel at story-telling on what problem you’re solving and clearly communicate the vision you’re going after, combined with the capacity to dive into details when needed
  • Experience defining and launching new products from scratch, gathering customer feedback (before and after launch), make adjustments and continue to drive it towards the vision, north star goal and key metrics
  • Bias for action and experience with rapid A/B testing
  • Experience with agile development and methodologies
  • Experience with growth hacking is a plus.

Competencies needed to be successful in this role:

  • A positive and entrepreneurial mindset. Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve. We’re looking for lifelong learners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Deeply curious and data-driven. Defends strong points-of-view with data
  • Capable of decomposing a big vision into bite-size milestones
  • Effective influencer and communicator across teams
  • Problem Solver & Decision Maker
  • High focus on details
